SKIN CONCERNS

Dehydration & Dullness

Tight, tired or lacklustre skin, refreshed with treatments that hydrate and renew.

UNDERSTANDING DEHYDRATION

What makes skin dehydrated and dull?

Dehydrated skin lacks water, so it can feel tight, look dull and show fine lines more easily. Dullness also happens when dead skin cells build up on the surface and skin renewal slows. Any skin type can become dehydrated, even oily skin.

Common causes

  • A weakened skin barrier
  • Air-conditioning, heating and weather
  • Harsh cleansers or over-exfoliation
  • A build-up of dead skin cells
  • Stress, sleep and lifestyle factors

Signs you might notice

  • Tight or rough-feeling skin
  • A dull, tired-looking complexion
  • Fine lines that look more obvious
  • Makeup or skincare that sits unevenly

FAQS

Common questions

Is dehydrated skin the same as dry skin?

Not quite. Dry skin lacks oil, while dehydrated skin lacks water. Any skin type can be dehydrated, which is why assessment matters.

Is there downtime?

AlphaHYDRA has no downtime, so it suits busy schedules and special occasions. Your therapist will explain what to expect from any other treatment we recommend.

How often should I have a treatment?

It depends on your skin and goals. AlphaHYDRA, for example, is usually repeated every 2 to 4 weeks. Your therapist will recommend a plan for you.

Not sure where to start?

Book a Skin Scan + Consultation. You will leave with a clear, personalised plan. $50, redeemable against any treatment booked on the day.
